Eulalia Pedro, an Indigenous Mayan elder, was forced to flee her homeland in Guatemala over 25 years ago, escaping the violence of a U.S.-backed civil war. Now living in the vast and historical San Luís Valley of southern Colorado, Eulalia reflects on the journey that tore her from her roots and the enduring connection to the home she left behind. Through poetic imagery and intimate moments, this meditative documentary weaves together her memories, the resilience of her family, and the stars that serve as a shining thread between her past, her present, and the generations to come.
