Off The Road
Off the Road Productions is a Denver Colorado based collaboration between me and Award winning filmmaker, Alan Dominguez. We focus on cinematic and socially oriented films that explore the changing landscapes of the American Southwest, highlighting BIPoC talent on both sides of the camera.
Mountain Media Arts Collective
Mountain Media Arts Collective is a new Colorado-based organization that seeks to uplift, support, and amplify BIPOC media artists in the area and promote stories by and about BIPOC experiences. I’m one of the founding members.
Our goals are:
• Create a space where BIPOC artists can gather, connect, and feel safe.
• Encourage, support, and amplify BIPOC artists and stories in filmmaking.
• Disrupt harmful stereotypes and hurdles BIPOC artists traditionally have faced in the industry.
Coyotek
Through the dystopian world of COYOTEK, we are exposing people to the oppressive practices currently used by the U.S. and other countries to criminalize and de-humanize immigrants. The project starts as an interactive e-commerce webpage where immigrants can buy products to help them avoid been victims of racial profiling by the U.S. government and corporate America. There are also products that can help refugees travel across borders safely by escaping ICE raids and skewing border patrol check points. Through its interactive components customers will be able to review the different products being offered, watch video tutorials for each product, find their specifications and even read reviews by other immigrants who have “used” the products. Once you check out your purchase will be directed to: “reality.”
